Prayers of the People January 16, 2022

The Reverend Dr. Katie Snipes Lancaster Open our eyes, O True Rest. Awaken us, O Morning Song of Love. Steady us, O Ground of Being. Shelter us, O One who brings us Home. For we bear our most fragile selves to your throne of grace. We who are fraught and frazzled, come to you rarely without ache. We harbor sorrow, unseen and overflowing. We surge with imperfections seldom alluded to in polite company. [...]

Prayers of the People January 9, 2022

The Reverend Christine V. Hides Holy God, you make us, form us, and call us by name, You see us as we are, beautifully created in your image, Imperfect, human reflections of your divine love. Our words and memories fall short As we try to name your blessings, Blessings which pour over us daily, Gifts of life, companionship, and love. In the coziness of the familiar, In the warmth that lingers after [...]

Untangle the ache in our heart. Make [...]

With gratitude for the ability to come as we are, we [...]

Prayers of the People December 19, 2021

The Reverend Christine V. Hides Holy God, creator of  the foundations of the earth and the oceans depths, maker of the dusk and dawn, and the ancient constellations overhead, This Advent season, you lead us nearer to the mystery of the manger, where your love for all is made known. And so with thankful hearts, we prepare to receive your love and grace through your son. With expectation, we deck the halls [...]

Prayers of the People December 12, 2021

The Reverend Dr. Katie Snipes Lancaster God our Advent hope, we await your Spirit made known in the Christ child, even as we see your ever-present spark spread across the start of this day. You are found infinite within the finite, unchanging within the urgency for change, giving birth as much as pouring forth. Be in solidarity with us in every joy and struggle. Unite with us in this time and place, [...]
