By The Reverend Dr. Jo Forrest
A pilgrimage involves a deliberate slowing down of the body, mind, and spirit in order to listen deeply to our neighbors and to wait upon Jesus to renew our strength. Please join members from Kenilworth Union Church from March 24–April 2, 2019 as we hike a 65-kilometer trail in the Galilee region of Israel known as the Jesus Trail. For this humble trip from Nazareth to the Sea of Galilee, we will carry day-packs while our luggage is shuttled each night to the various inns and even a kibbutz one night. After relaxing at the Sea of Galilee we will travel via bus to experience the Old City in Jerusalem for several days.
The pilgrimage will be a slower pace to allow time to reflect and explore our interior faith, as well as be inspired by the countryside, at the same pace Jesus traveled.
The trip is limited to 14 participants for wide variety of reasons—some very practical with respect to available rooms—and our desire to create an intimate group with our guides. For additional information please see the website for a detailed brochure or contact Jo Forrest. Registration is closed, the trip is at capacity.
