Service Opportunity Details: St. Leonard’s needs an experienced landscape designer or horticulturalist to design landscaping and a maintenance plan for the entire St. Leonard’s campus, with an emphasis on native perennials. There are existing beds and landscaping, but new plants are needed and existing plants need maintenance or replacement.

Location: Chicago-Near West Side

Volunteer Ages: Adults

Frequency: Periodic

Frequency Details: To be determined by the scope of the project. Likely one or two visits for planning, one visit to share and explain design, one to help source plants, and one to oversee plant placement. This could be done one building at a time, or the whole campus at once.

Other Information: St. Leonard’s is blessed to have a wonderful campus with green space, an oasis in a very urban setting. The residents of St. Leonard’s use the outdoor spaces frequently, and they contribute to their healing of body, mind and spirit.
