Service Opportunity Details: Feed our Youth Program provides meals prepared by volunteers, either on or offsite, to feed the youth that access our shelters and drop-in centers. We are seeking a weekly, biweekly, or monthly group who would cook a meal which would feed 20 youth. Option to serve the meal is potentially available.

Location: Chicago-Humboldt Park and Back of the Yards

Volunteer Ages: Young Adults, Adults, Groups

Frequency: On-going

Frequency Details: Time frames available are: M-F 11 a.m. with lunch served at noon; M-F 4 p.m. with dinner served at 5 p.m.; or 7 days a week at 7 p.m. with dinner served at 9 p.m.

Other Information: We do ask that volunteers be able to cover the cost of the meals or at least supplemental items like fresh veggies that we may not be able to get consistently from the food pantry.We also request that volunteers stick to the MyPlate layout: protein, veggies, and a carb.
