Service Opportunity Details: Family Matters offers both afternoon and evening tutoring and welcomes new tutor/mentors throughout the year who are matched in a one-to-one relationship with students in grades K-12. Tutor/mentors receive an orientation and participate in ongoing training, team building, and support activities.
Location: Chicago-Rogers Park
Volunteer Ages: Teens, Young Adults, Adults
Frequency Details: During academic year, tutor-mentors meet with students once a week for 90 minutes (Mon through Thurs) between 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. Afternoon tutor-mentors work with students once or twice a week between 4 and 6 p.m. for 45 minutes.
