Service Opportunity Details: Group volunteering events: Literacy Event: Students, parents, and volunteers, are able to learn during story time, play games, and create great works of art with the students! Volunteers use the story book to create fun games to play during the event to incorporate the story. Art Event: Host an Arts and Craft event where you choose a specific craft to teach the kids or supply activity packets and let kids explore their creativity.Parent Meeting Workshop: Coach or work with our preschool parents on a topic which you might have a particular interest or knowledge. For example: healthy eating, financial literacy, yoga, etc. Toy and Coat Drives: Most of the children and families we serve come from low-income families. We always welcome in-kind donations of gently used toys, coats, clothes, shoes, boots and other items needed for daily life in Chicago.

Location: Chicago-Englewood Chicago-Hyde Park

Volunteer Ages: Young adults, Adults, Groups

Frequency: One-time

Frequency Details: Volunteers would have the option to help out in our classrooms at a date and time that would work best with their schedule. Volunteer opportunities would be available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
