Three Things to Know About the Fifth & Sixth Grade Habitat Project at Kenilworth Union

Habitat is a beloved Kenilworth Union tradition where 5/6 grade students lead younger children through stations to learn about life in the time of Jesus. This year youth will update stations with new information from what they learned in the fall of their study The World Jesus Knew. Habitat visit day will be March 8. Additional parents are needed to make this happen. Thank you for replying to this form with dates you and your youth will be working on the project!

  1. Wear clothes that can get messy! Designing and building the Habitat project begins during 10:30 a.m. Sunday school on January 19 and ends on March 1. (There is no Sunday school on February 2 or February 16).
  2. We need helpers! We only have a few Sundays to build the house. Fifth and sixth graders (and their parents) are needed to complete the project. Please help us plan by letting us know your availability using this quick form.
  3. Habitat Tours will be on Sunday March 8 from 10:30 a.m.—noon: On this day all of the younger classes will visit the various stations that teach about life in Jesus’s time. When worship ends, adults are invited to visit during coffee hour.
