Each week for the next few months, we will recap a feature of Sunday school. This week highlights third grade and our parent volunteers.
Sunday was our fourth Sunday School this year and things are off to an outstanding start! We’ve enjoyed chapel in the Robinson Garden, repainted the labyrinth as a service project, discussed Bible stories, and used compasses to inspire curiosity about the geography of the Bible. Thanks be to God for the ability to gather again!
Special thanks to our teaching teams, many of whom took several weeks in a row to create consistency. Each Sunday requires the commitment of 12 parent volunteers, 2–4 high school leaders, and our Children’s Ministry staff to create a safe, welcoming, and joy-filled experience. Our parent sign up is three-quarters full for the year, so we still have room (and need) for parents to assist with greeting children upon arrival, preschool, and fourth grade. Please reach out to me or Greta if you can help!
On Sunday our third graders will have their first “sticker day” where they will individually recite the Ten Commandments to a parent leader. Next week third graders will continue writing scripture on their hearts as they learn Psalm 23.
Thank you all for a wonderful start to the year!
