Shoes for Sarah’s Circle

Written by: Julia Smolucha

Put on your shoes so that you are ready to spread the Good News that gives peace. —Ephesians 6:15

On Sunday, March 20 Dr. Evertsberg will be preaching about Shoes as part of the Lenten sermon series, Lent in Plain Sight,  on finding Christian meaning in everyday objects—dust, bread, coins, shoes, thorns, cross, oil, towels, & stones.

One of Kenilworth Union’s Outreach Agencies is Sarah’s Circle—Ending Homelessness For Women. After hearing an inspirational minute for mission by our Sarah’s Circle outreach liaison, Chancel Choir has been inspired to help provide new shoes for homeless women in need.

Will you join us? Music Ministry has partnered with Sarah’s Circle and identified basic shoe needs for everyday life. If so moved please consider clicking the button below and contributing one new pair of shoes. All purchases from this site will be sent directly to Sarah’s Circle in Chicago. A variety of sizes 7, 8, 9, and 10 is needed.

The deadline to purchase a pair of shoes for Sarah’s Circle is on March 31, 2022. Please contact Lisa Bond for additional information. “Thanks be to God for our community of faith.”
