Quiet Christmas—Thursday, December 17 at 7:30 p.m. Livestream
The evenings are dark. The streetlights are on by 3:15 p.m. It’s been a long, hard year for many if not all of us. We long for the comfort of the sanctuary. We long for the company of saints. We long for rest. We long for sacred beauty and song. We long for understanding.
That longing is met by God who hears our groaning cry and is made known, becomes with-us in the Christ child. Quiet Christmas is online this year, and we hope that it at least in some ways attends to your deep longings, and makes room for you to meet God-with-us in a restorative way.
This is a worship service that was designed in collaboration with many people near and far, some of whom have been listed in the bulletin. So whatever longing, whatever sorrows, whatever quiet hope, whatever deep need you carry with you this season, join us tonight Dec. 17 for our Quiet Christmas service of worship (or watch it at your leisure any time after it airs at 7:30 p.m.). Bring a candle. Find a cozy quiet place. Allow the sweet rest of God’s love to guide the way.
