Dear Lord Jesus, please look down on us and guide us in our daily actions.

How blessed are we?  We have 360 degree love and support in our daily lives and we get to come together on Sundays to give thanks, to break bread and to celebrate the Eucharist.

  • We have Jesus who walks along side us through everything
  • We have our friends and family who always have our back and are there for us in good times and in bad
  • We have God in front of us leading the way for our future
  • And of course, from the bottom, when we need it the most, we have the holy spirit to lift us up

Sometimes, it may be hard to feel this 360 degree love.  When we look around our world and see the homeless in our neighborhoods just a few miles from where we live.  When we see family economic crises caused by layoffs at companies like Google and Meta.  When we see continuing atrocities in war torn areas like the Ukraine.  When we hear of heinous crimes perpetrated by people who have seemingly no care for the value of life…in Monterey Park, in Half Moon Bay, in Moscow, in Memphis, in Highland Park, it makes it difficult to realize that God loves us, is with us, cares for us and has a plan for us.

But there are so many wonderful things in this world of 360 degree love to keep us going.  A baby’s laugh, a child’s grin, a small success, a warm embrace.

We know, that through prayer, by following Jesus’s actions, by trying to walk humbly in Christ’s light we can try make sense of it all.  And we can start by asking for help in the way that Jesus taught us to pray:

Our Father…Amen.
