Gratitude. There are many ways and things for which we can express gratitude. I’ll just share one. The Chicago Botanic Garden is that one. So close to home, right up the road. It has been a place to escape for me (and Jack before his passing) almost daily. It is a place where I can walk, pray, listen to books, be quiet, see and listen to the birds, wave to regular walkers I have never met, cry and just sit and enjoy the wonder of God’s creation. Thank you God for the beautiful world you have created for us.

Let Us Pray:

Smiles,
tears of sorrows,
prayers,
and the sound of bird calls…
thank you God
for the ways your
world inspires our lives.
Amen.

Perhaps you can list 2–3 things, people, or aspects
of your life for which you are thankful today.

Be a writer for gratitude: Kenilworth Union Church invites you to become part of a gratitude journey, diverse members within the church will author these devotions. Find out more here.
