My mornings always start with a cup of coffee. I’m not picky about the brand or way brewed; instant often serves the purpose. The simple cup brings a smile as I recall my first taste of coffee in Guthrie Center, barely flavored water from my depression era grandmother to the myriad ways life has unfolded through sharing a ‘cuppa with others.

Let Us Pray:

Dear God,
thank you for beans,
the roaster,
the baristas,
and all those who
have graced my life
over such a simple brew.
Amen.

Perhaps you can list 2–3 things, people, or aspects
of your life for which you are thankful today.
