The season of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday. Ashes are placed on our forehead as a reminder, “From the dust you have come, and to the dust you shall return.” Even as a young child, there was something resonant about this reminder. Now, it is a practice that deepens year by year It can be a poignant ritual. It might bring sorrow, regret, or wistfulness. It might be pensive, a mystic encounter with the Holy Spirit. It might bring a renewed sense of being alive, present in this moment, today.

Worship with us on Ash Wednesday in person at 4 p.m. (family friendly) or 7:30 p.m. (traditional). If you are joining us online prepare in advance by picking up palm ashes, to mark yourself, and those in your household with the sign of the cross on your forehead. Alternatively if you would like ashes mailed to you, please let us know by emailing Marie-Pierre LeBris.
