By The Reverend Dr. Katie Snipes Lancaster

In a world that feels unified by global pandemic, and yet remains divided by difference, I often wonder what spiritual practices might help create solidarity, build cooperation, and lead to real change.

I love the idea of this contemplative chant that connects across global faith traditions. It weaves together the spiritual lives of Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim, Jewish, and Christian communities with a simple, repetitive melody that can be sung in diverse community, and bring even our melodic prayerful bodies into a state of peace. It’s worth a listen.

Let us pray:

Contemplation Chant
Om mani padme hum
La illaha, il Allah hu
Gloria in excelsis Deo
