Adult Education with Kelly Leonard
Kenilworth Union Church is hosting Kelly Leonard, executive director of insights and applied improvisation at The Second City on the evening of March 12. Leonard, a Kenilworth native, will explain how the principles of improv—working within an ensemble, embracing failure, and looking forward can equip us to navigate change in our lives.
Leonard has presented at TEDx Broadway, the Chicago Ideas Festival, and The Stanford Graduate School of Business among other venues and he co-created and co-directs a new initiative with the Center for Decision Research at the Booth School at that University of Chicago that looks at behavioral science through the lens of improvisation.
A popular speaker, he hosts the podcast “Getting to Yes, And” and has generated original Second City productions with Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, Amy Poehler, and countless other troupe members. All are welcome to his talk which is hosted by Kenilworth Union’s Adult Education beginning at 7 p.m. in the church’s Culbertson Room.
