Kenilworth Union Church and SamaraCare invite North Shore Clergy and faith leaders to a presentation on understanding autism and how to welcome children, teens young adults and families into congregations. Patti Boheme LCPC, Director of Autism Services at Samaracare, will help participants better understand the autism spectrum so they can improve their capacity for creating nurturing spaces for young people with autism and neurodiversity. The 90-minute session will cover best practices and practical steps for congregations. According to the National Survey on Children’s Health, children with autism are twice as likely as neurotypical children to not attend regular religious services. Please help us to address existing barriers, creating community support that enhances the well being of all families.
