Desert Island Book Club
3/4 at 7:00 pm–9:00 pm
It’s a Desert Island Book if it’s lean (under 300 pages), accessible, theologically resonant if not necessarily religious, and you take it with you wherever you travel in case you get marooned on a desert island. Our inaugural book will be Godric, by Frederick Buechner, which almost, and should have, won the 1981 Pulitzer Prize. Our first meeting will be Wednesday, March 4, 7 p.m., at Bill and Kathy Evertsberg’s house, unless we’re oversubscribed, in which case we will move the meeting to the Culbertson Room. We’ll serve simple nourishment, wine, and LaCroix. Please RSVP to Karen Gaynor.
