Daily Devotional Musical Interlude

Written by: Julia Smolucha

“In many popular songs, an interlude is an instrumental passage that comes between sections of lyrics in a song, like between a verse, the part of the lyrics that tell the story, and a chorus, the repeated passage that reinforces the song’s main idea. An interlude can also come between choruses.”

September 14—To God be the Glory

To God be the glory, great things he has done!
So loved he the world that he gave us his Son,
who yielded his life an atonement for sin,

Why should I feel discouraged
Why should the shadows come

Take my voice and let me sing
Always, only for […]

September 11—Morning Has Broken

Morning has broken like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken like the first bird
Praise for the singing
Praise for the morning
Praise for them springing fresh from the Word
Sweet the rain’s new fall, sunlit from heaven
Like the first dew fall on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in […]

September 10—All Things Bright and Beautiful

All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The lord god made them all.
Each little flower that opens,
Each little bird that sings,
He made their glowing colors,
He made their little wings.
The purple headed mountain,
The river running by,
The sunset and the morning,
That brightens up the sky.
The cold […]
