As a reminder, masks are required for all groups on campus at all times. As we move forward in the reopening process we will continue to follow the state and federal guidelines as well as Jesus’ command to love and care for our neighbors.

  • Make a reservation with the receptionist in advance along with expected attendance
  • Ensure you receive the guidelines (essentially all the items below) for hosting an event
  • Distribute to attendees the “what to expect guidelines”
  • Provide a complete list of attendees at the check in table and space to check off attendee was present.
  • Arrive early to welcome attendees and ensure protocols are followed by those who enter the building and grounds
  • Please understand and plan for
    • Ensuring everyone wears a mask at all times and maintaining social distancing from those outside of his/her household
    • The kitchen is closed, and refreshments may not be served
    • Access to the restrooms is limited and any use requires following posted safety protocols

  • RSVP with event leader (or a rsvp form may be used) to secure a spot for you and your family. You must reserve spots in advance to avoid overcrowding. If an RSVP form has been issued you will find the event reservation agreement on the calendar under the event date.
  • All worshipers over the age of two (2) should bring a mask. Everyone should bring their own chair or blanket with them. Extra masks will be available if you do not have one, but extra chairs will not be.
  • Check-in begins 15 to 30 minutes prior to the event. Please plan to arrive early to check-in.

  • Register your attendance with the greeter. We must have everyone’s name before they are to enter.

  • Your responsibilities
    • All participants over age two (2) must keep your mask on.
    • Stay in your designated spot for the duration of the event.
  • What the event will be like
    • Check event on calendar for indicated participant response.
    • There will be no handouts, please check event on calendar for specific materials used at the meeting.
    • The church building remains closed—including the restrooms.
    • Allow extra time for orderly departure.

  • Wait for the event leader to dismiss you and exit as directed. Please maintain physically distancing and avoid crowding.
  • Keep your mask on until you are off church property. Stay six feet apart from people not in your household.
  • Once the event is over and you have been dismissed, please leave church campus. At this time, we are not hosting fellowship.
  • If you develop signs and symptoms of COVID-19 within 48 hours of attending an event, whether or not you test positive, please notify the church office. If you test positive within 14 days of attending an event, please notify the church office. Please contact Karen Gaynor or call 847-853-2636. This is for the safety of the congregation and of church staff.

Am I at higher risk for COVID-19?

  • Am I or anyone in my household at elevated risk?
  • Do I have a pre-existing condition such as hypertension or diabetes?

What is Your Health and Exposure Status?

  • Do I currently have any symptoms associated with COVID-19 such as a fever, cough, difficulty breathing, sore throat, muscle or chest pain, fatigue, headache, congestion, runny nose, digestive upset?
  • Have I been exposed to someone who has been sick or diagnosed with COVID-19 during the past 14 days?
  • Have I been sick or diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days?

What's My Part?

  • I am willing to stay home if I have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or if I have been exposed to someone who has.
  • I will abide by the safety protocols on church property, including wearing a mask and social distancing.
  • I will let my church know if I am diagnosed with COVID-19 and have recently attended the event.
  • I will RSVP to sign up if I want to go to the event. I understand it is necessary to RSVP to get a spot.
  • I acknowledge that there is some risk in attending outdoor events even if all protocols are followed.

Keeping You Safe

  • Our current reopening plan
  • Kenilworth Union Church has implemented preventive and safety measures as provided by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), state and local regulations and guidelines, and local public health officials to provide our staff and visitors safe as possible environment.
  • High touch regular cleaning is performed before and after worship service.
  • The staff are trained to keep area and people within safe, please adhere to the requests.
  • Attendees are to wear a mask and bring their own chair/blanket.
  • Registered participants will check in at the designated area where you will clean your hands with sanitizer provided, masks are provided for those who do not have one.
  • Stay six feet from people not in your household from the time you exit your car until the time you re-enter your car. No singing but you may pray responsively, wear a mask, sanitize frequently, no handouts—use your phone.
  • This event may be available any time after livestream.
  • Stay home if you’re not feeling well or have been exposed to COVID-19 in the last 14 days.
  • After worshiping with us, if you begin to exhibit flu-like symptoms or symptoms described by the CDC which indicate coronavirus, please contact Karen Gaynor at 847-853-2636. All conversations will be kept confidential to the extent allowed by law.
