To limit the potential spread of COVID-19, the Cook County Department of Public Health is recommending quarantine measures for persons entering suburban Cook County from states around the country where the incidence of COVID-19 infection is high. Cook County’s website provides further details on the travel guidance as well as a list of the high-incidence states, which is updated weekly. Unlike the City of Chicago’s Emergency Travel Order, the suburban Cook County travel guidance is a recommendation, not an order.
Kenilworth Union Church is continuing to protect the health and safety of its members and staff by following all local, state and CDC guidelines, including those from the Cook County Department of Health.
If you have recently returned from one of the high-incidence states or have recently visited a lower-incident state and are considering whether to attend an in-person worship service or other event at the Church, we suggest that you consider the nature of your activities and interactions with others during your out-of-state travel. A sample list of various low, moderate, and high-risk activities is available here.
If you decide it is safest to follow the Cook County recommendation and stay home following your out-of-state travel to one of the high-incidence states, please join us via livestream or online gathering.
