9th Grade Confirmation
Ninth Grade is confirmation year at Kenilworth Union Church. Older teens who have not previously been confirmed are also welcome to enroll.
Confirmation is a course of education, exploration, and faith formation that challenges what youth know and believe about the Christian faith. Register for the Confirmation Classroom Course.
By the end of their course, each confirmation student will be given the opportunity to say “yes” to being confirmed at Kenilworth Union, and to join the Church as adult members.
2024–2025 Calendar Year:
August 25 at 9:40 a.m.—Confirmation Commissioning during 10 a.m. worship
August 25 at 10:45 a.m.—Confirmation Parent/Mentor Orientation
September 8 from 2 to 6 p.m.—Student Orientation Retreat, Off Site
September 15 at 9:45 a.m.—Classroom Students “first official class” in the Centennial Room
May 11—Confirmation Sunday
Two Course Options
Confirmation instruction happens in two formats explained below. Students in both courses are expected to complete additional confirmation requirements on their own time and are confirmed together as one class at Confirmation Sunday. Please contact the Katie Lancaster for information on joining the Confirmation program at Kenilworth Union Church.
