Bringing Christmas to Lawrence Hall

Written by: Julia Smolucha

Wish List Program

There’s a special kind of joy when a child opens a present on Christmas morning. Help bring a piece of that magic to a child who would not otherwise have something to open.* Lawrence Hall provides a safe space along with nurturing homes for children who have been removed from their birth families due to abuse and/or neglect.

If you are interested in helping Santa, please join us in taking care of a child’s Wish List. Through this opportunity you would spend $50 per Wish List.

Simply email Julia Peterson and you will be matched with a Wish List. Each Wish List includes the child’s name, gender, and age along with their individual toy and clothing wishes.

The deadline to drop off your wrapped gifts is Wednesday, December 1 at Kenilworth Union Church. Detailed information will be distributed when you sign up.

Please let us know by Tuesday, November 23 if you and your family would like to participate in this wonderful program. “Your” child will be forever grateful!

Thank you!

Julia Peterson and Melanie Earle

*Children’s wish lists for Lawrence Hall are full (wow!) but there are still lists for teens and young adults.

Thank you to those who are bringing Christmas to the children of Lawrence Hall. Gifts can be dropped off at the Warwick Manse on November 28 between 9:15–10 a.m.; December 1 between 8:30–9:30 a.m.; or by alternative arrangement with Melanie Earle.

December 2, 2021:

This year in partnership with A Joyful Noise Preschool, our community fulfilled 94 Wish Lists. A special thank you to all who supported this initiative to make some Christmas wishes come true!
