12 Days of Christmas Printable: Christmas doesn’t end when the presents are unwrapped. In fact, Christmas lasts until January 6, or 12 days. In Jesus we see God’s love come to earth. It is our work to continue to share God’s love and God’s light in the world today. The 12 Days of Christmas offer 12 opportunities to do something for others as a way of saying “thank you” to God for the gifts we have been given.

Traditionally the day the church celebrates the arrival of the Three Kings, also known as the Magi or Wise Men, in Bethlehem.
Chalking the Door
A way to welcome Christ’s blessing into our hearts and homes. Take a piece of chalk and write “20+C+M+B+21.” The numbers represent the year 2021. “C-M-B” stands for either the traditional names of the Magi (Caspar, Melchior, and Balthazar) or an acronym for “Christus Mansionem Bendicat” which means, “May Christ bless this home.”
After you chalk the door, say a short prayer, then sing “We Three Kings”:
Holy God, bless this home and the people who live and visit here. May your love shine as brightly in us as the star that led the Magi to Jesus. Amen.
We Three Kings of Orient Are
We three kings of Orient are;
Bearing gifts we traverse afar,
Field and fountain, moor and mountain,
Following yonder star.
O star of wonder, star of light,
Star with royal beauty bright,
Westward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to thy perfect light.
Born a King on Bethlehem’s plain,
Gold I bring to crown him again,
King forever, ceasing never,
Over us all to reign.
O star of wonder, star of light,
Star with royal beauty bright,
Westward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to thy perfect light.
Frankincense to offer have I;
Incense owns a Deity nigh;
Prayer and praising, voices raising,
Worshiping God on high.
O star of wonder, star of light,
Star with royal beauty bright,
Westward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to thy perfect light.
Myrrh is mine; its bitter perfume
Breathes a life of gathering gloom;
Sorrowing, sighing, bleeding, dying,
Sealed in the stone cold tomb.
O star of wonder, star of light,
Star with royal beauty bright,
Westward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to thy perfect light.
Glorious now behold him arise;
King and God and sacrifice:
Alleluia, Alleluia,
Sounds through the earth and skies.
O star of wonder, star of light,
Star with royal beauty bright,
Westward leading, still proceeding,
Guide us to thy perfect light.
