It happened. Now when I sweep the dust on the flagstone in the garden, I collect brown, fallen leaves. The turn of seasons reminds me that what I plant is what I will harvest. I am grateful for nature’s reminder that my life is lived forward and what I do today sows the promise of brighter tomorrows, even if the daylight fades.
Let Us Pray:
Dear God,
thank you for your
abiding presence
each day and calling me
to invest in future days.
Amen.
Perhaps you can list 2–3 things, people, or aspects
of your life for which you are thankful today.
