In this strange and stressful time, I am so very thankful to hear someone I care about is doing ok, feel the touch of a hand or even an elbow, find what I want in the grocery store and just be able to utter the breath prayer ‘Deo Gratias’.
*Deo Gratias [Latin] ‘Thanks be to God’
Let Us Pray:
Dear Lord,
let us realize and feel that you are
still with us in these tough times.
Help us to know that life can and
will go on in a meaningful way and
we can find joy if we appreciate
what you have given us.
We are grateful, thank you.
Amen.
Perhaps you can list 2–3 things, people, or aspects
of your life for which you are thankful today.
Be a writer for gratitude: Kenilworth Union Church invites you to become part of a gratitude journey beginning September 15 through the end of November, diverse members within the church will author these devotions. Find out more here.
