From Slavery to Civil Rights and Beyond Preliminary Itinerary

Trip participants are responsible for their own flights. Please plan to arrive at the hotel by 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14. Return flights can be booked for the afternoon of the 17th.

Recommended flights:

Outbound flights: Depart Chicago ORD aboard United at 7:25 a.m., arriving Charleston 10:27 a.m. OR aboard American at 8:15 a.m., arriving at 11:30 a.m.

Return flights:  American has one-stop flights at 2:40 and 6:30 p.m. United has a non-stop at 4:40 pm.


Rooms are reserved at Hyatt Place/Hyatt House Historic Charleston and are included in the trip costs.


All meals are included in the cost of the tour. Breakfast will be provided at the hotel.
