Public Affairs with Mayor Lori Lightfoot

Mayor Lightfoot is the 56th Mayor of Chicago.

George Tzanetopoulos, Board of Trustees, Moderator

We are excited to announce that Chicago’s Mayor Lori Lightfoot will address the congregation. Prior to her election in 2019, Mayor Lightfoot most recently served as a senior equity partner in the Litigation and Conflict Resolution Group at Mayer Brown. Previously, she served as President of the Chicago Police Board, as well as the Chair of the Police Accountability Task Force.

Mayor Lightfoot also served as Chief of Staff and General Counsel of the Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications, interim First Deputy of the Chicago Department of Procurement Services, Chief Administrator of the Office of Professional Standards, and as Assistant United States Attorney.

A native of Massillon, Ohio, Mayor Lightfoot has been a resident of Chicago since 1986.

Registration is below where you will receive a link to attend. I look forward to seeing you online Tuesday, May 4.  Kenilworth Union Church has a strong Public Affairs program designed to broaden the congregation’s awareness of current issues in our community and around the world, believing that in knowledge, there is power to make a difference.
