God who makes a way in the wilderness, be with our confirmation wilderness team this week as they journey to meet you on the trail.

Give them eyes to see the majesty of your creation in the mountains and the trees.

Give them ears to hear your voice in the whisper of the winds and the gushing of the streams.

Give them the strength to keep taking one more step forward on the path that leads to you.

God, you are making a new thing that springs forth in the hearts of these youth as they climb steep hills, sleep under stars, and ask the big questions of faith.

We ask that you keep them out of harm’s way as they navigate this wilderness together.

May they safely return to us at the end of the week, sore and smiling, with hearts transformed from a sacred encounter with you.
