Fourth Badge: Camino de Santiago

Dear Pilgrim,

As pilgrims made their way through the land, they often recorded their progress and memorialized their experience by collecting badges or markers. These would be presented at the final destination as evidence of their journey for a final token or certificate of completion. Along our Pilgrimage to Pentecost, we will recognize our progress with many of the christian pilgrim trails walked through history and today.

Since medieval times thousands of pilgrims traveled from their homes across all of Europe to the tomb of St. James (Santiago in Spanish). In recent years over 340,00 pilgrims from countries across the world and of diverse faith traditions or no formalized faith walk with prayers for healing, asking for guidance, carrying burdens, or for reasons unknown even to the pilgrim. This week, image how you might connect with pilgrims along with way, describe your journey, and receive their stories.

We hope you find the scripture video recording as nourishing as it is intended. We also offer this prayer for you to reflect upon as you navigate this day of your journey.
