Pilgrimage to Pentecost—Day 20: May 1

May our house become your house, O God. May the tall tree in our yard become holy shade, sacred companion. May the wide porch of welcome become the way you enter in, invited, expected, _____. May every room in our home become a resting place for your ever-residing presence to draw near. And in that way, may we dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen.
