The days are now getting cooler and the fall foliage colors are appearing. But those hot days of summer are still vivid in my memories. The beach was my haven with my grandchildren…the clear Lake Michigan waters were their refuge to cool off. Boogie boards, sandcastles, pails, and shovels kept them busy.
I am so grateful to live by this vast lake that brings me such peace. Doesn’t matter if it is a calm day or a day with angry waves crashing on the shoreline…the open expanse of the lake is soothing…mesmerizing. I can get lost just standing and staring out to sea!!
Thanks to the beach staff dealing with a small parcel of sand this summer to maintain the crowds and keep everyone safe. They always had daily beach people ready to cool off!! Blessed to have shared those days with my grandchildren…memories made…a jar full of sea glass.
Let Us Pray:
Bless all of God’s children
The laughter, smiles, and sandy beach days
Gratitude abounds for our daily blessings
May we stay safe and may
God bless us all In Christs name,
Amen.
