As a reminder, masks are required for all groups in-house at all times. As we move forward in the reopening process we will continue to follow the state and federal guidelines as well as Jesus’ command to love and care for our neighbors.
MEMO from Re-opening Committee Tuesday, May 4, 2021
Outdoor Worship: Masks will be worn into worship. Once seated and fully vaccinated, you are permitted to remove the mask. Wear masks when singing and exiting worship.
Outdoor Non-Worship meetings: Masks will be worn into the meeting. Once group is gathered and established all are fully vaccinated, masks may be removed.
Indoor Worship and Non-Worship meetings with Members or outside individuals: Masks should be worn at all times in all places. Even if all attendees are post time validated vaccinated, masks must continue to be worn. Responsorial praying is encouraged but singing is not. There are a number of reasons why this must be enforced:
- We continue to have non-vaccinated people and tender-aged children in the building.
- Illinois continues to have a mask mandate
- CDC Guidelines continue to require masks in public places
As the CDC and the state of Illinois change their rules, the re-opening committee will continue to set the guidelines.
Let the re-opening committee know if you have any questions or comments. Best regards,
