As we are now celebrating Advent, making holiday plans, lists for buying presents we want to wrap and give, my mind keeps going back to all the many laprobes the Kenilworth Union Knitting Ministry has knit over the last six years. Well over 500! Laprobes are given as  gifts for the patients at the Shirley Ryan Ability Lab.  The laprobes are always blessed by the knitters. Our knitting group, Kenilworth Union ministers, and the patients tell the chaplains at SRALab that they feel the love and caring in each robe, which has helped them in their recovery. It is so very fulfilling to hear the various stories of those receiving these laprobes as they struggle against such odds to recover.
