What are ideas of what we each can do to  help address the issues in our society?

  • Join our upcoming two-part Book Discussion: The United States, the richest country on earth, has more poverty than any other advanced democracy. Why? Why does this land of plenty allow one in every eight of its children to go without basic necessities, permit scores of its citizens to live and die on the streets, and authorize its corporations to pay poverty wages?

We will have a book discussion of Poverty by America by Matthew Desmond.

Discussion groups to be held Wednesdays, June 14 and July 12, at 7 p.m. at Kenilworth Union Church in the Culbertson Room. Register here if you would like to participate.

Beau Taplin
