Dear Members of Our Congregation,
After several years working on a facility plan to sustain our church for future generations, we are excited to share our vision. The proposed facility plan for Kenilworth Union Church will:

• Improve building access
• Enhance safety and security
• Create new spaces for youth and music
• Add capacity for meetings and activities
• Address deferred maintenance in our building systems

During the month of September, as we launch our formal Capital Campaign, we will begin a year-long program of events and activities to present the facility plan and gather feedback. In September, you are invited to:

• Come to the Culbertson Room after worship to view renderings and floorplans
• Attend our church’s Annual Meeting following worship on September 24 to hear a formal presentation
• Watch for informational events, “fun” raisers, and other activities centered on our church’s many ministries

Generous donors during the pre-launch phase of our Capital Campaign have given us a very strong start. As we formally launch the Capital Campaign, we need your support to raise an additional $3M. As you consider your pledge to the Capital Campaign, we want to emphasize Kenilworth Union’s giving priorities:

• First, to our annual Stewardship Campaign to fund church operations
• Second, to our Annual Outreach Benefit to fund agency grants in support of underserved communities in the greater Chicago area
• Third, to the Capital Campaign, a once-in-a-generation request to invest in our spiritual home

Past generations of our congregation gave generously to create the vibrant church we have today. It is time for us to do the same.
