Got hope?

Greta Connor, Associate Director of Children and Family Ministry

On Sunday in Family Chapel we thought about the River Jordan, where Jesus enters the chaos of water in baptism and is lifted back up into the light. This spring it seems we are “being lifted back up into the light” as we slowly emerge from winter and the COVID-19 crisis. Spring is always a time of renewal, but this year it is especially poignant. Many of us are feeling hopeful as schools are reopening, vaccines are becoming available, and weather warms.

You are invited to continue a conversation about hope on Thursday, March 11. Author of the book The Hopeful Family: Raising Resilient Children in Uncertain Times. Amelia Richardson Dress, joins us for a conversation about cultivating hope.

Activities

Resurrection Gardens: Your family can prepare for Easter by planting a resurrection garden! Email Greta Connor that you’d like a kit and she will leave it in the main foyer entrance for pick-up (while supplies last). Plant soon and it will be grown in time for Easter (and spring!).
