Yesterday we read the picture book The Story of And: The Little Word that Changed the World by Sandy Eisenberg Sasso. When different shapes can’t get along, the word “and” helps them connect to create something new. We responded by making our own creations through free play and watercolor painting. Singer/ songwriter Carrie Newcomer wrote an original song to go along with this book. The song is available for free from the publisher.
Summer Wondertime as been a great opportunity for the kids to slow down, connect with each other, and create something new. I pray that you had a fun and blessed July 4.
