Fredrik Backman’s “Anxious People”

I didn’t want to see the film A Man Called Ove, but my wife dragged me there and I loved it. I didn’t want to read the book Anxious People but my daughter made me and I loved it.

So when A Man Called Otto came along, I needed no convincing, and I loved that too. (Taylor is the world’s #1 Tom Hanks fan).

All three of these Fredrik-Backman-centric stories is about creating community ex nihilo.

So that’s the main reason for reading Anxious People and joining us at my house at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 27 to discuss it with other Backman admirers.

The other reason is that Anxious People features one of the most unexpected and satisfying plot twists in recent fiction. Or maybe you saw it coming.  Join us anyway.
