Join Bill and Kathy Evertsberg and the RJC for what promises to be an illuminating civil rights history tour of Birmingham, Selma, and Montgomery, Alabama. As Bill said, “In recent years, Kathy and I have led pilgrimages to sacred sites like Jerusalem and Edinburgh. Please join us for a journey to equally holy shrines on American soil.”
On this three-day journey, we will visit landmarks from the U.S. Civil Rights movement, learning about our past and current national identity. We will travel and dine together, providing opportunities for both individual and collaborative prayer, reflection, and connection.
Please register soon to help in our planning. This trip is open to members of Kenilworth Union Church and their friends, and congregants of Church of the Holy Comforter.
Reserving your space requires a deposit of $1,000, which is fully refundable until Wednesday, August 17. A partial refund will be available until Wednesday, August 21, after which time no refunds are guaranteed.
Please contact Julie Smolucha for questions about the trip or reserving your space.
