Some of those pictured here will have lead roles in this year’s Christmas Pageant!
The Reverend Christine V. Hides
Associate Minister for Discipleship
The entire congregation is invited to celebrate the return of the 78th Christmas Pageant, Sunday, December 3, 4 p.m. and by livestream. Hear the story of Jesus’ birth retold in the Sanctuary with traditional Christmas songs, angels and shepherds, and live animals. After, enjoy refreshments in the Culbertson Room and a petting zoo on the front lawn.
The first Sunday of extended Advent in the children’s chapel buzzed with anticipation and excitement as we began practicing our songs. Older children helped younger children learn the words to Away in a Manger and other favorite carols. Many were eager to hear what part they would play in the Christmas story. Greta Connor and I are grateful for the ability to resume the 78th Christmas Pageant after 3 years of Live Nativity. Some new faces from the 16 new families who have registered for Sunday school this school year will join with many who were also part of the 77th pageant in 2019.
Families with young children and grandchildren are also invited to participate in the retelling of the Christmas story at the Homespun Christmas Eve Service at 11 a.m.
