Dr. Nicholas Pearce
Many of us find ourselves compartmentalizing our faith lives from our work lives, but not Nicholas Pearce. As a professor of management and organization at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management, and an assistant pastor at the Apostolic Church of God on the south side, Pearce’s faith is part of his core identity and the root of both his personal and professional purpose.
In his book The Purpose Path: A Guide to Pursuing Your Authentic Life’s Work, Pearce “invites readers to courageously embark upon the journey of aligning their daily work with their life’s work.” Speaking to Kelly Leonard about the importance of following one’s calling on the Getting to Yes, And podcast, Pearce said “That’s vocational courage: having clarity about one’s authentic life’s work and then having the commitment to faithfully pursue it, which involves making difficult decisions about how to align what I do every day with what I believe I’ve been called to do with my life.”
Pearce will talk more about his book and his experience at the Adult Education gathering on Monday, September 16 at 7 p.m. in the Culbertson Room. Additionally Dr. Pearce has accepted an invitation to preach at Kenilworth Union Church at 9 and 10:30 a.m. on October 13. All are welcome to attend.
