On Friday, April 30, 2010, Kenilworth Union Church held its annual Outreach Benefit to raise money for its Outreach Programs. KUC supports 50 Outreach Programs and four (4) of these were highlighted at this year's benefit: The Cara Program, Haven Youth and Family Services, The Josselyn Center and Thresholds. Eric Weinheimer, President of the Cara Program, was the keynote speaker. Attendees enjoyed Silent and Live Auctions as well as a Raffle for 1 of 2 $1,000 Neiman Marcus Gift Cards and a fabulous Wine Auction. Mick Ter Haar, Sommelier from Schaefer's Wine (our generous wine donor for the evening) was on hand to answer questions about 75 bottles of wine that were raffled to guests. Live Auction items included a trip to the South of France, an Autographed Eric Clapton guitar and Chicago Blackhawks items, to just name a few. The event had 250 people in attendance and raised over $65,000 for the Kenilworth Union Church Outreach Programs.
